Mike Nalley Photography Demonstration

Thanks to Mike Nalley for his demonstration at our meeting in May. Mike discussed various issues concerning focal point, lighting, subject matter, and cropping.

Mike also assisted members with their own photography equipment, reviewing the different settings and functions for different cameras, selecting the right settings for the situation, and the differences between the "Point & Shoot" and SLR digital cameras.

The evening ended with an inpromptu shoot outside the meeting hall as we all witnessed a rare phenomenon following an intense storm cell that passed overhead.

Mammatus clouds are caused when there is an extreme difference in atmospheric temperature and wind sheer. These clouds are often formed when an intense storm is present. (Photo by Shannon Davidson).
