AGNWG Members in upcoming exhibitions

We have had a number of our talented artists accepted to several exhibitions in the Atlanta area, including:

The South Cobb Arts Alliance National Juried Exhibition will include work from members Carolyn Banks, Wayne King, Mike Nalley, Rob Ray Taylor, Susan Moreno, and Shannon Davidson. The reception for this event is August 23rd, 2008 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm.

Shannon Davidson also had two works accepted to the Atlanta Fine Arts League "Simply Drawn" Juried Exhibition, which was solely for monochromatic media. The reception for this event is September 6th, 2008 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm.

I am sure these artists would love to see you there supporting them and all the other artists who were accepted to these events.

Carla Sanchez had a beautiful portrait accepted into the Portrait Society of Atlanta's Summer Juried Exhibition, which is currently hanging in the Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art.

Nikki Davidson had two pieces accepted by the Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art for their Metro Montage VIII Juried Exhibition.

Congrats to everyone! Hope to see you at the receptions.

1st Annual Online Art Competition

Well our first annual competition is finally ready to roll. The prospectus has been completed and is available from the AGNWG website. Participants can either submit their entries by mail or directly from the website.

There will be two competition divisions for Amateur and Professional artists. We want to be sure that new artists participate in these events by providing a platform for them to compete with their peers.

Along these lines, we will be offering assistance with image file prep for those who are not familiar with color correcting and resizing digital files. We want to make sure that everyone has the ability to participate.

To download the prospectus, please visit the AGNWG website at www.georgiaart.net.
