2009 Information and Meeting Updates
ART CRITIQUE:
At our January meeting we were pleased to have Natasha Lovelace attend and critique the artwork of most of our attendees. Ms. Lovelace did a fantastic job evaluating the artwork, and was very accomodating in allowing members to ask questions during the critique.
The information we all received about our work both validated what we may have already suspected about our artwork, and shed light on some perhaps hidden issues within the work we may not have noticed.
We truly appreciate her invaluable feedback and look forward to working with Ms. Lovelace on future projects.
CHANGE OF LOCATION:
During our meeting, we also discussed the issue of a place to hold our monthly meetings. We have decided that for the present, the group will meet at the home of Nikki, Shannon and Phillip Davidson in Dallas, GA.
Initially, meetings will take place upstairs in the main house. Following the time change, access to the downstairs studio will allow our group to meet in a comfortable environment where we can easily hold art demonstrations and lectures. Thank you to the Davidson's for opening up their home and art studio to AGNWG.
For directions and information, you may contact Nikki at 678-429-9055. To Google, the address is 655 Coach Bobby Dodd Rd., Dallas, GA 30132.
From Dowtown Dallas, take East Memorial toward Hiram, and turn left on Coach Bobby Dodd Rd. The left hand turn lane is directly across from the Huddle House. If you pass McDonald's you've just passed the road.
From Hiram/278, turn right onto 120 Charles Hardy Pkwy, then left on Atlanta Highway/Business 6 towards Downtown Dallas, which turns into Merchants. Just past the McDonalds, past the signal at Macland, turn right on Coach Bobby Dodd Rd.
The house is 1/2 mile on the left. For other directions, you can call us at 678-363-0202.

2009 is here!
Hello and welcome back everyone! The remainder of 2008 was a busy one for our group. We managed to successfully complete our first online competition, and we enjoyed working with all of the artists who submitted a total of 111 entries! It was a lot of work, but what a great presentation!
We have also changed our monthly receptions at Vito's to an ongoing art exchange. Members can visit Vito's as needed to trade out their artwork or replace work that has been sold, etc. We will still plan to meet on the third Saturday of each month for dinner, dessert, and great company!
We are now enrolling new and renewing members for 2009, so be sure to get your application to Lynne Byers. Information is available from the website at www.georgiaart.net
We will be sponsoring another art critique to be held at our January meeting on the 20th. We really enjoyed this event last year, and we had a great turnout.
Come and join us for any of the events listed on the website, and please contact us if you have any questions. We are always looking to energize and excite new artists, young or old, professional or just beginning. Art is a great way to make connections, and that's what AGNWG is all about!
